Teacher Argentine Tango at Alma de Tango
Federico was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At young age, he moved to Germany, but kept visiting his home country every year.
In Germany, he discovered dancing for himself at the age of 16. Soon the hobby became a passion, as he took classes and performed in Ballroom, Latin Dances, Breakdance and Hiphop.
At the age of 19, he came in contact with Tango for the first time, when his father took him to some of his classes in Buenos Aires. In 2011, with Laura Cairo and Ulrich Avenarius, he finally found a great Tango school in Munich, where he was living by that time. He picked up regular classes and soon realized that this was the dance he felt at home with and which connected him with his argentinian roots.
When he moved to The Netherlands in 2015, he started teaching Tango right away in Leiden. There he met Silvia Mezzasoma and they decided to work together. By the end of 2016, they had their first performances and in 2017, they reached the Semifinals at the UK European Tango Championship in the category Salon.
As a teacher, Federico is known for his humor, empathy and infinite patience. He guides his students so they truly understand the technique of the steps in his classes – while having lots of fun! He is always thriving to improve himself and helping others to do so.
He has been learning from some of the most successful dancers of our time, among them Sebastian Arce, Sebastian Achaval, Roxana Suarez, Juan Martin Carrara, Estefania Colina, Fabian Peralta and Josephina Bermudez.
Together, Federico and Silvia make a great and very professional team in supporting and encouraging their students, individually and as a group, while always keeping them challenged and interested. Their work is characterized by a continuous research on the sources and principles of body movement. Federico and Silvia’s Motto is that working on the details and clear communication is the key to a comfortable and well connected dance.
