Short introduction about the musicians
Al Sur Dúo is a musical duo dedicated to spreading Argentine Tango and Folk music. Their repertoire includes versions of classic songs composed by many well-known Argentine composers, and they also compose their own music. Both members teach and conduct workshops in public and private institutions, both in Argentina and abroad. The duo was formed in 2015, originally for a folk and tango tour in France, the Netherlands, and Germany, supporting a dance group. Later, they expanded their repertoire to combine concert and dance tango, as well as folk songs representing different regions of Argentina, with the goal of touring Europe as a duo. Since 2019, they have toured Europe several times, including performances in Estonia, Finland, Sweden, France, and Spain, and collaborated with orchestras such as the Puhkpilliorkester Saku in Estonia. In 2020, they released an album featuring songs from their previous tour.
The duo consists of Andrés Chorny (piano, harmonica, vocals) and Nicolás Cesario (guitar).
