Semina Arampatzi

Teacher Argentine Tango at Alma de Tango

Semina grew up in a family where dancing was an integral part of everyday life, and
surrounded by music and movement, she naturally developed a deep appreciation for dance. While pursuing her master’s degree, Semina explored Lindy Hop and Ballroom dancing, enriching her repertoire and refining her skills. However, it was an accidental
encounter with Argentine tango that truly captured her heart and not too long after, she began taking classes with Jory and Lorena.
Driven by her newfound passion, Semina dedicated numerous hours each week to group classes and intensive training sessions, immersing herself in the magic of Argentine tango. It was during one of these classes that she met her dance partner, Chiwei. Together, they embarked on a journey of growth and discovery, honing their craft with great commitment
and enthusiasm. Their synergy and shared dedication led them to start teaching workshops
and classes at their university’s student association, where they inspired many others to
embrace the art of tango.
Semina’s teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that self-expression through dance is
built on a strong foundation of technique and musicality. Together with Chiwei, they
emphasize the importance of understanding the fundamentals while encouraging their
students to find their unique voice in the dance. Their energetic classes are known for their
dynamic and engaging atmosphere, where students feel supported and motivated to
progress on their unique tango journeys!
